Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy is pleased to introduce Mike McGee as the new Head Coach for Varsity Baseball. Coach McGee has served as a baseball coach for various summer leagues for almost 30 years, including last year as the JV Head Coach for the Cardinals undefeated TAAC season.
After retiring from the Toledo Police Department in 2016, Mike McGee joined the staff at Cardinal Stritch as a Middle School Phys. Ed. Teacher and Student Aide.
“Mike brings a joy to everything he does, and we are excited for his experience, leadership and passion in yet another capacity here at Stritch,” said Fr. Eric Schild, President of Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy.
Stritch Athletic Director Dick Cromwell is also excited for Mike McGee’s experience on and off the baseball field, “We know that baseball at this level is about more than just wins and losses, and we know that his experience as a Coach and retired TPD Sergeant will prove invaluable for our students and continue the success of our baseball program.”
Coach McGee is scheduled to meet with the team on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Practices begin on February 19 across the state for the 2018 season.
