Jamie Kachmarik Resignation

Dear Cardinal Family,

Today I received the resignation letter of our Assistant Athletic Director and Head Boys Basketball Coach, Mr. Jamie Kachmarik. After much deliberation, and Prayer, Jamie has decided to accept a new position at St. Francis de Sales High School. Jamie will remain at Cardinal Stritch for the remainder of the school year and will transition to his new position some time this summer.

As the President of Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy I would like to thank Coach Kachmarik for seven wonderful years of service. In those seven years Jamie has developed one of the best basketball programs in the Metro Toledo area. Many of his student-athletes have gone on to college and into professional careers post college.

The Boys Basketball Program has earned multiple awards that include three Toledo Area Athletic Conference (TAAC) league championships, six Sectional Championships, three District Championships, one Regional Championship, and one trip to Columbus for a State Final Four competition. The Cardinals have not lost a game at Home since 2017.

Coach Kachmarik is leaving Cardinal Stritch with multiple Coaching Awards, including Coach of the Year from the TAAC, District, BCSN Coach of the Year, Toledo Blade and the Oregon Press. He is leaving with a record of 132-41. We are thankful for all he has done for the youth at Cardinal Stritch.

We wish Jamie, Cori, Drew, and Ava the best in their future endeavors and want to let them know that they go with our Prayers and Gratitude for all that they have done here at Cardinal Stritch.

Disciples First!
