The Cardinal Stritch Varsity Football Team entered this season with expectations of turning the program around.  After the first 3 games of the season, and a record of 0-3, many started to doubt a turnaround expect the coaches but most importantly the players.

On Friday night the Cardinals defeated the Green Bears of Ottawa Hills by the score of 41-14 and improving Stritch's record to 4-0 in the TAAC and 4-3 Overall.  Yes, that's right, 4 straight wins for the Cardinals which has brought new life not only into the locker room but into the fan base as well.  Stritch has been lead by Senior Paul Latz on both sides of the ball.  Freshman quarterback Thomas Foust has made a huge impact on the team and is the general leading the offense under center.  The defense has really stepped up which why the Cardinals have won 4 in a row.  Sophomore Travis Mattox, Senior Paul Latz, Senior Noah Power, Junior Nate Hill, Senior Hunter Crippen and Junior Chris Lucio have made a commitment on the defensive end which has led to the team's success.  Cardinal Stritch is back in action this Friday night, October 12th, with a home game at Clay High School against Edon.  Kickoff is set for 7:00pm.
