With the approval of the Ohio HB33 - ALL FAMILIES ARE NOW ELIGIBLE to apply for the Universal School Choice Program! For the 23-24 school year, there is an increase the scholarship dollar amounts AND the eligibility of ALL OHIO FAMILIES! The EdChoice Scholarship amount is now $6,165 for grades K-8 and $8,407 for grades 9- 12.
This change allows students whose family’s household adjusted gross income is at or below 450% Federal Poverty Level (FPL) (approximately $135,000 per year, for a family of four) be eligible for a scholarship of $6,165 for grades K-8 and $8,407 for grades 9-12. Students whose family’s household adjusted gross income is at 451% FPL or higher will receive a scholarship based on a sliding scale. The approval of the Universal School Choice Program (aka EdChoice Expansion) includes all Ohio students’ eligibility to receive a scholarship.
